Since I have finally succumbed to the virus going around the office, I am forced to take it a bit easy today. Fortunatley, this means I have had the time to finish folding the laundry & upload the photos from Madeline's first Halloween.

Since she has already been making the noise, we were thinking that she should be Godzilla... Unfortunately, we got so busy with work & preparing for our Halloween party, we weren't able to purchase a costume in time for Madeline. Luckily, her super-nanny saved the day one afternoon and arrived with an outfit at the last minute - Hooray for super-nannies!

Dear Universe,

I am so looking forward to shoe shopping for our little babytron... Please, please, please help me to resist temptation until she actually NEEDS shoes.

This is going to be more difficult than it may seem...

first foods!

Tonight Madeline had her first vegetable. I decided to go with carrots, since we had an entire bagful of mini carrots I had harvested from our veggie garden. So, as soon as I got home from work, I boiled them & ground them up in our food processor to make fresh, wonderful baby food.

Perfect, fresh, local, organic, highly-nutritious baby food...
Apparently, Maddie didn't agree.

This was Maddie's second real meal, I'm not sure she was too impressed by rice cereal (I don't think I would be either) BUT there are tastier (and messier) foods to come.

We wouldn't be proper parents if we didn't have naked baby pictures to use as blackmail material later in life. I like to call it 'our little insurance policy.' Looking at the pic though, there may be a glaring error in my logic...
